Why Men Over 30 Should Take Omega-3 Every Day | Apeish LAB

Why I Make Sure I Get Omega-3 Every Single Day

Hello everyone,

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve started paying a lot more attention to what my body actually needs to stay healthy, strong, and sharp. Between listening to podcasts, reading more, Googling things, and even asking ChatGPT questions, one thing keeps coming up over and over again:

Omega-3 fatty acids.

For the longest time, I thought Omega-3s were just another one of those generic “good for your heart” recommendations people throw around without really explaining why. But once I started digging deeper, I realized they’re actually one of the most important nutrients for men in their 40s and beyond.

The reality is, our bodies change as we age.

Inflammation increases. Recovery takes longer. Joints get stiffer. Energy drops. Even brain function and focus can start slowing down if we’re not intentional about our health.

And Omega-3s play a major role in helping with all of that.

What Exactly Are Omega-3s?

Omega-3s are essential fatty acids, meaning your body cannot produce them on its own. You have to get them through food or supplementation.

The problem?

Most of us don’t get nearly enough.

Personally, I almost never eat fish. And honestly, I can’t think of many people I know who consistently eat salmon or sardines every single day either.

That’s where the issue starts.

The Real Benefits of Omega-3s

Research continues to show that consistent Omega-3 intake may support:

  • Heart health and cardiovascular function
  • Reduced inflammation throughout the body
  • Brain function, focus, and memory
  • Joint health and mobility
  • Eye health and overall cellular health
  • Mood support and recovery

On the flip side, low Omega-3 intake has been linked to:

  • Increased inflammation
  • More joint discomfort
  • Poorer recovery
  • Faster cognitive decline as we age
  • Higher risk of heart-related issues

That definitely got my attention.

The Best Sources of Omega-3

The most effective forms of Omega-3 are EPA and DHA, which mainly come from animal-based sources like:

  • Salmon
  • Sardines
  • Mackerel
  • Anchovies
  • Shrimp and shellfish
  • Grass-fed beef and pasture-raised eggs (smaller amounts)

Then I had to ask myself an honest question:

“How often do I actually eat these foods consistently?”

My answer?

Basically never.

And I think most busy men over 30 or 40 can relate to that.

Between work, kids, responsibilities, and everyday life, cooking fatty fish several times a week just isn’t realistic for most people.

Why I Take Omega-3 Daily

That’s why I started making Omega-3 a daily priority.

Your body needs these healthy fats consistently — not just once in a while. Eating fish once or twice a month simply isn’t enough if you want long-term benefits.

So for me, taking a quality Omega-3 supplement became the most practical solution.

I personally try to get Omega-3s through food when I can, but I also make sure I supplement daily with a quality fish oil from Apeish LAB.

Since being more consistent with it, I’ve noticed:

  • Less joint stiffness after workouts
  • Better recovery
  • More steady energy
  • And overall I just feel better

No magic pill. Just giving my body something it actually needs.

Final Thoughts

If you’re over 30 or 40 and trying to stay strong, healthy, mentally sharp, and active for your family and your future, Omega-3 is one of those things that’s actually worth paying attention to.

Sometimes the basics really do matter the most.

Stay dangerous,

Omar
